Hello, welcome to Mountain View Pork. We are a pig farm located in the small farming community called Mountain View in Turlock, California. We are a 3rd generation family farm involved in all stages of pig farming. Our family has a tradition of raising quality hogs for over 40 years. We share a passion and love for raising hogs that has been passed down for three generations.
Our pigs are sustainably and humanely raised. We raise our animals paying close attention to the surrounding land and environment so we utilize practices for generations to come. We care about our animals welfare and safety, we utilize science based production practices to ensure a healthy, well cared for animal.
Our pigs are raised outdoors and are free roaming in deep-bedded straw and are protected with large shade covers. Our pigs are only fed a 100% vegetarian diet which have no animal proteins or animal by-products.
When our hogs go to market they are antibiotic and hormone free.
We raise 100% heritage breeds such as the Duroc and the Berkshire. Pork quality is extremely important to us. The Duroc and Berkshire breeds are known for their excellent marbling. Our pork is juicy, tender and has so much flavor.
We are certified with Pork Quality Assurance® Plus (PQA Plus) which is an education and certification program designed to help pig farmers and their employees continually improve production practices. It addresses food safety, animal well-being, environmental stewardship, worker safety, public health and community.
